Father Michael J. McGivney founded the Knights of Columbus in 1882 at St. Mary's in New Haven, Connecticut as an organization committed to Unity as a Catholic lay organization, Charity to those in need and Fraternity with fellow brother knights.
About Our Council
St. Helen's Council 11738
was founded in 1996. It is named after St. Helen, who was the mother of
St. Constantine. Council 11738
unites together and volunteers our time and talents. We work in
unity with our Pastor to make St. Helen Parish shine, members being active participants
in their parish.
We, as a council, In the past year alone, we donated $10,000 to help defray the cost of the roof and courtyard repairs. We also donated the cost of two concrete tables for the courtyard.
